If so, we refer you to the site of the QUÉBEC DIRECTORY OF PUBLIC RESEARCH. This directory, a tool produced through the partnership of three Québec granting organizations, lists scientists in all fields of research that further the growth and international stature of Québec. It clearly shows the scope and diversity of Québec research and fosters communication between researchers, industry and knowledge-based partners here at home and around the world.
Québec has created efficient tools over the past thirty years to build a dynamic research system able to meet the challenges of today's world. The Québec Policy on Science and Innovation, set out in January 2001 by the Québec minister of research, science and technology (ministre de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie du Québec), further underscores this commitment.
The three granting organizations in question, i.e., the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC), the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ) and the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la nature et les technologies (FQRNT), are among the players marked for a significant role in developing the research potential of Québec. This directory is part of that thrust. It profiles the interests of men and women of science who are exploring the many sectors of knowledge. By constantly expanding the frontiers of knowledge, their projects contribute to the advancement of society in all its many dimensions.
